I'm too chicken shit to do this to my wii, but it looks like wiifanboy.com has come up with a "safe" hack to allow the wii to play DVDs. They have a very nice step by step how to guide with photos. Unfortunately, you will have to own Zelda: Twilight Princess to make it go. Very cool! Homebrew for the Wii sounds like a really good idea.

As I type, it's at $460.00 and has not met it's reserve. I can't see paying too much more than that for it. I've been told that Boba Fett is lame because he only had two lines and was killed by a blindman, but I remain unswayed. While Greedo may have the most famous scene with Han Solo, I feel Boba Fett is his true counterpart. Now, Marc Ecko had created a line of Star Wars clothing with this Fett-tastic hoodie. The rest is bedazzled crap, but I think the hoodie is pretty sweet.

I admit I haven't been very interested in the Vader Project, 66 artists given 1:1 scale prop replicas of the actual Darth Vader helmet used in the Star Wars films to do with what they wish. Some were amusing, but I have seen few that were truly clever. "Vaderology" from Oliver Jeffers tops them all. This Phrenological head of the workings of Vader's mind is freaking awesome. Regions include "han solo bullshit detection faculties", "suppressed nostaligia for the Republic" and of course, just under a large area for evil, "the Dark Side". I've always been curious about the amount of effort put into things that the average person cannot see. Like the intricate patterns plowed into corn fields for corn mazes here in the US, the Japanese have a more productive version: multi-color rice fields.

My klutziness would prevent me from wearing these beautiful rings, but if you are a more proper lady than I, you may be about to rock these gorgeous rings by Sarah Hood. The ring @ top left is from a series using railroad model flora making me suspect that they are uber-fragile. But nothing can compete with the ring @ top right which is a living plant. The only thing more extreme than my klutziness is my black thumb of plant death. Sarah also has a series using raw spices that is quite interesting. I blame Law & Order, but I've always had a small fear of people going through my trash. My shredder is my favorite appliance in the house, and all unmentionables get buried in the rotten food that inevitable appears from no where in my fridge. But Tim Noble and Sue Webster contribute more to society than I do. And this is probably best exemplified in how they dispose of their garbage. Thanks for making me feel like a loser, guys. The above picture is 6 months worth of their rubbage and was featured in the Tate.

UPDATE: Thanks to an anonymous tip, it is now revealed that this was in Houston, TX. Artists Dan Havel, Kate Petley and Dean Ruck were given two structures scheduled for demolition to create this temporary oddity. It was demolished in 2005.

I've always known that I don't have the world's most spatially oriented mind. I struggle to picture dimensions and I sure as hell can't breakdown pixelation to be duplicated with post-it notes or perler beads. But this takes it to a whole new incomprehensible level. I can practically hear Phoenix Wright yelling "Objection!" and Miles Edgeworth calmly shaking his head, shaking his finger and asking Phoenix/me to produce evidence to prove that Max Galactica couldn't have flown away from the scene of the crime. Technically these toys are from the first Phoenix Wright game as they include Phoenix, Edgeworth, Mia and Maya. I can't wait to see the second set with Pearl as Maya ;)!

Always getting himself in to sticky situations, Han Solo is now confined to chocolate - and he's never looked yummier. We all had memorable proms. Some of us wore fake pregnancy bellies and spend the night doing prat-falls. Some of us designed prom costumes entirely constructed of duct tape. One of these options results in fearful teenagers ignoring the white elephant in the room. The other results in the chance to win a $3000 scholarship.
