"colorful" is a euphemism for weird

We all had memorable proms. Some of us wore fake pregnancy bellies and spend the night doing prat-falls. Some of us designed prom costumes entirely constructed of duct tape. One of these options results in fearful teenagers ignoring the white elephant in the room. The other results in the chance to win a $3000 scholarship.
